Calendar life study of Li-ion pouch cells Part 2: Simulation

چکیده
The low rate (C/33) discharge data obtained from a calendar life study were numerically analyzed with a single particle model. The simulation howed that the stoichiometric window for the cathode shrank with capacity fade. The change of the stoichiometric window for the anode was ore complicated. The aged anode became less charged when the capacity fade was caused mostly by the loss of cyclable lithium ions. The anode ould be charged to a higher stoichiometric number (or state of charge, SOC) when the capacity fade became controlled by the loss of active aterial in the anode. 2007 Elsevier B.V. Calendar life study of Li-ion pouch cells
A calendar life study was conducted on lithium ion pouch cells which were stored under float charge condition at five temperatures. The half ell study showed that the anode experienced severe loss of the active material, especially at high temperatures. The capacity fade mechanisms ere then proposed. The capacity fade at low temperatures could mostly be caused by the loss of lithium inventory t...
متن کاملCalendar life performance of pouch lithium-ion cells
An accelerated method was used to determine the effect of temperature, end-of-charge voltage and the type of storage condition over the performance pouch lithium-ion cells. The cells were studied for 4.0 V and 4.2 V end-of-charge voltages (EOCV) both at 5 ◦C and 35 ◦C. The irreversible capacity loss of the cell was analyzed every month using a capacity measurement protocol. The results indicate...
متن کاملEffect of heavy-ion beam irradiation on the level of serum soluble interleukin-2 receptors in hamster cheek pouch carcinoma model
Soluble interleukin-2 receptor (sIL-2R) is a glycoprotein derived from α chain of interleukin 2 receptors of mononuclear as well as T-cell membranes. The aims of this study were to detect the changes of serum soluble interleukin-2 receptor (sIL-2R) levels following heavy-ion beam irradiation in the hamster model with cheek pouch carcinoma, as well as to examine the impact of immune status of th...
متن کاملSimulation study of the transport properties of ions through ion channels serving as primary components of a nanobiosensor
Ion channels are naturally occurring pores through the proteins that regulate the passage of ions and thus maintain the concentration of ions inside and outside the cell. The ion channels control many physiological functions and they can show selectivity for a specific ion. Ion channels are mostly observed in nerve cells and muscle cells. The influx of ions into cells can be regulated by a gate...
